Internet of Things (IoT)

Greece promotes the use of IoT through Law 4961/2022 and the National IoT Strategy, focusing on secure and transparent use by public and private entities. A platform through gov.gr for application development is foreseen, while 5G infrastructure, low power networks (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Sigfox), and cybersecurity are strengthened. At the same time, tax incentives are given and entrepreneurship, research and training in IoT technologies are encouraged. Standards for interoperability are being adopted, and citizen participation in open data testbeds and actions is being promoted.
