The country is making significant efforts to accelerate digital transformation in this sector. As evidence, in 2024 the OLGA application was launched, enabling women who are victims of gender-based violence or discrimination to send free messages to access social, psychological, legal, and counseling support. Already introduced in 2022 was the Panic Button, which allows immediate notification of the Hellenic Police’s special units via a single button and geo‑location for rapid intervention. Under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, substantial funding is earmarked for programs of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, further strengthening digital protection and support for vulnerable groups.
